TROFEO - The Classic with Timeless Style
Under the Trofeo® brand, all items are made with certain wools that are very fine and precious, selected by Lanificio Ermenegildo Zegna through rigorous quality parameters:
- Average fineness of 16 microns
- Longer fibers to ensure performance, durability, and a silkier feel
- Uniformity of the fibers
- Color and style of the wool, which includes fiber-level strength and purity
The name Trofeo comes from the trophies that Ermenegildo Zegna has been awarding since 1963 in Australia, recognizing the best superfine wool producer. The lots are evaluated with very strict parameters, and only one per season is awarded the coveted Ermenegildo Zegna Trophy.
These items, with their particularly soft and silky feel, are ideal for formal and elegant garments. Recently, the types have been revisited: the warp yarn is finer both in terms of count and the fineness of the wools used. A new "compact" spinning process makes the yarns more regular and clean. All these adjustments give the fabric a finer grain, a more regular and clean appearance, and a softer and silkier touch, slightly reducing its final weight, making it fresher and more pleasant to wear.
